Slow and smooth turning with Arduino?

Hello, I'm new to Arduino. I want to assemble a device that is called “ time-lapse pan & tilt ” in the bourgeoisie.
In fact, this is a motorized 2D tripod head, which must rotate the camera (300-gram soap dish) in two planes very slowly (1-20 ° per hour) and very smoothly . I decided to start by looking for the right hardware, and found a Lynxmotion Pan and Tilt Kit on servos. I would like to clarify with knowledgeable people whether this (and servos in general) is suitable for the necessary tasks. If not, what other options are there.

You can take a small stepper motor (usually 1 turn of 1.8 degrees) and put through the gear / gears increasing the gear ratio. That is, with a gear ratio of 1:10 you will get 0.18 degrees per step (20*/0.18=111) and for 20 degrees you will get 111 steps/frames.
