Sidebar in native way + phonegap?

There is an application on phonegap, everything is fine: logic, speed, but all transitions look very annoying, you can still live with modal windows, but the sliding menu is just awful. How can I solve the issue without understanding the android sdk?
phonegap has the ability to connect plugins, but all the curves, you need to make small changes to the framework of phonegap itself, in one of the videos this was done easily, but the solution was without details.
