Should You Use Cloudflare?

Basically, I'm making a site where users can watch cartoons (i.e. copyrighted content). And I read on the Internet that CloudFlare speeds up the site and blah blah blah ... And so, I accidentally stumbled upon such a site - ixrevo.me/fail-with-cloudflare . Q: Should I use CloudFlare?

For RU sites it’s not worth it (there are no servers in Russia and yes, Roskomnadzor can lock up a neighbor in the IP and you will be bad)

Take a Russian CDN provider with good connectivity and pay in rubles. Why do you bother with currency? Today you received a bill for 3 thousand rubles, and tomorrow for 5. :)

What is the point of overseas CDNs when their nearest DC is in London or Frankfurt. Those. they do not provide fast delivery of content.

In your case, it will not speed up as much as unload your server. Plus, if you pay for traffic, then save on the return of the video (if it is via http).
DDoS protection as a feature will be. Those. a sudden nighttime wave of requests to the site will quietly merge into CF, and that's it, they will beat off.
