Well, this is a double-edged sword. there are pluses and minuses. and there already you yourself need to weigh and decide.
for example, one of the pluses is that Google has a good search for "merged" passwords in this regard. those. if your password is in the merged databases - Google will warn you about it.
of the minuses - Google will know your passwords. they also have a poorly implemented system for displaying passwords. conditionally, any user can see your saved passwords in your browser if he knows the password from the OS.

I wouldn’t save it ..
There are different animals that can steal all the passwords and logins saved in the browser ..
Maybe now that very data can be closed with a password, I don’t know.
But if you think so, you can record all keystrokes and merge the clipboard as well.
So, there can be more than one thing here.

If the browser uses a master password, then without it, a third-party program cannot decrypt these saved passwords, and the browser itself must decrypt them only at the user's request and not leak them to the owner. Firefox, which I use, was not noticed in this, there are considerable doubts about Chrome.

I also use Chrome and have already accumulated quite a lot of accounts into which Google Chrome already logs in by default. Since some also have a payment card attached, I also thought that it’s not entirely safe if you get access to the browser, you can see all the passwords. It turns out that Firefox has a more securely implemented password storage function. And for Google Chrome, you can install a password manager .
