Should the weight of the digit be the degree of the base of the number system in which the number is written?

Let's say, can the weight of a bit of a binary number be, for example, 30, or 10? I'm right? I can’t prove to the teacher in any way that the weight of the discharge should be a deuce to a certain extent.

According to the definition from Wikipedia , the weight of the digit is a factor by which the value of the digit in a given number system must be multiplied, i.e. for binary numbers it is always 2 to the power of n -1 , where n is the number of the digit, respectively, neither 30 nor 10 can be a weight for the digit of a binary number, because they are not powers of two
