Should the Vue starter template itself open in the browser?

Vue.js

After launching the starter template, npm run servethe console reports a running application at localhost:8080 , but the tab itself does not open in the browser, as in React on port 3000. Is this standard behavior or can it be changed somehow? The template has been created via vue-cli.
