Should I write an online game in Python, PyGame?

So I started writing an online game and remembered that I was told "This language is not intended for something cumbersome".
Are there online games written in Python, PyGame? And is it worth writing a real project on it?
I started writing in order to put something in my resume ("Did you see!? And I wrote the game! Online)")
