Should I use the Relap recommendations, or should I customize the output of similar content myself?

In your opinion, is it worth using the relap recommender content system, or should you set everything up on the site in your own way by programming the output of similar content? What do you think the experience was?
The downside of the relap so far is that a relap link is shown near the block, but the plus is that you can see click statistics, CTR, for example, I have about 2% CTR for their blocks
