Should I use a hamburger menu for an adult audience?

The site will have such a menu, as well as some items will be drop-down. What is the crux of my question. I want to know your opinion. The audience of visiting the site is quite different, mainly it is 26-34 years old, and a small part is +40 years old. If you make a hamburger menu, will people be able to understand that by clicking on the icon they will be taken to the menu or is it worth making some sort of pointer.
And one more question if you make a hamburger menu, then apply it to all screens or only to mobile ones.
Thanks

In the full version of the site, you should not use a burger at all. If an item has a submenu, then it has been indicated with a down arrow for 15 years and there is no point in changing the tradition that everyone is used to.
As for the mobile version - you need to test it. Although I am sure that the button with the inscription "Menu" is clicked more often than three stripes. If a person needs settings / sections, his brain will first of all look for the MENU, and when he doesn’t find it, he will look at the elements under which it can be.
