Should I start learning Swift without Objective-c knowledge?

Prior to that, he worked exclusively on PHP and Javascript. What is the entry threshold for Swift?

No, it’s not worth it, in real development (even new applications “only in Swift from scratch”) you still have to deal with interaction with Objective-C code (Cocoa, 3rd-party libraries that won’t rewrite themselves in Swift).

Yes, it's worth it. The entry threshold is quite low compared to objective-c, the syntax is much simpler, clearer and more readable.

If you do not plan to work in companies, then you should learn Swift without knowledge of Objective-C.
Of course, it is possible that you will not need it in the future, but at the moment it is needed in all companies.

If you work for yourself, then yes. If there is a specific vacancy for Swift, then yes. If Appa's projects are for a month of development, then everything is ok.
In other cases, you probably have to be prepared for the need to learn Objective-C.
Even Java Android programmers on some projects have to write in c.
