Should I learn yii first before learning yii2?

Hello! The question is actually of such a plan, is it worth learning yii first before studying yii2 or are they completely different? Will it be a good help or a waste of time and is it better to start yii2 right away? The fact is that I came across Makarov's book on yii and a lot of good reviews about it, so I thought if it would make it easier to study it later on yii2? Thanks in advance for your replies.

No, it is not necessary to do this if the task does not require it. It’s better to start right away with the second one, it’s more interesting than the first + the first one back in December last year, the developers of the framework stopped holding it, all the forces are on the second one.

if there is no need to support projects on yii of the first version, you can immediately study the second branch.

Yii 1.0 and Yii 2.0 are essentially very different projects. Study the second version right away, but first learn the basics of MVC and ActiveRecord if you are not familiar with them.

Start with Yii2.
I've been on Yii1 for three years, and I just can't get used to it (well, or too lazy to deal with yii2)
