Should I go to graduate school to study computer vision and machine learning?
Hello! Recently, I began to seriously consider where to go after a bachelor's degree (I study in the specialty "information systems and technologies"). I began to look for an area in which there are great prospects for founding a startup and, in general, a very useful area, specialists in which will be snapped up in the future. I'm interested in AI, now it's a trending area, and it worries me. Friends recommend that I contact the guys from the MIPT machine learning laboratory and work with them (I'm studying in another city myself). I think in the near future a huge number of scientific works will appear in the region, there will be fierce competition, and in general I'm used to thinking that it's not worth running where everyone is running. Like in the days of the gold rush, when the sellers of shovels really made money. So , is it worth throwing all your strength into this area or, while there is time, turn your attention to promising, but not so trendy directions? What would you advise?
