Should I change cmsmadesimple cms to October (Winter cms)?

There is an idea to change the existing CMS (cmsmadesimple) to Winter cms (Oktober).
But, having started a slightly deeper acquaintance with the vinter, I was surprised (and not pleasantly) that it stores all the site page files in html files on the server, while the current CMS stores everything in the whining database.
Maybe I didn't quite understand the question, that's why I'm asking for advice.
PS I saw a couple of plugins that save all the data in the database, but IMHO these are already crutches, why switch to such a laudatory Laravel, if you can get by with a simpler tsms on files?

Pages in winter cms are essentially routes + a template in which you can display dynamic records from the database. This CMS is convenient at first glance, it covers the basic needs with a bang... create different models with custom fields, work with files, etc...
For something more serious, you already have to come up with something, there is not enough flexibility.
October cms was originally a free open source product that helped develop the community, then the developers made it proprietary. the initial price of octobercms was $10, after a couple of months it was already $20 per year, what will happen next is anyone's guess.
It’s better to move to a pure framework + an admin panel package to it, for example https://orchid.software/ru/ . There is a cool series of tutorials on youtube on orchid.
It’s worth switching to Laravel with a file sms when you need the functionality of filtering, searching, sorting, linking different models, registering, authorizing users, etc. on the site, since file sms are not very flexible in this regard.
PS if you are not a developer, then you don’t care what framework cms works on, for you as a user of cms there will be no difference.
