Should a web developer switch to FF4 if most site users are still on 3.6

Actually, I'm interested in how much the rendering of pages in 4.0 and 3.6 differs. If I switch to 4.0 (at least for the sake of the 1.7 firebug), can it happen that the page that I have in 4.0 normally renders will fall apart in 3.6 (not html5 of course, plain html4/xhtml1.1)?

is it worth it to type in ie6 if most of them are already in ie8?

I've been in beta versions. So far I have not seen any differences in rendering. In general, put 2 versions and do not worry. Engage in development in version 4, and leave 3.6.15 for peace of mind, in order to launch and check at the final stage. But I, for example, did not notice any differences for xhtml 1.1, apart from slightly improved form elements.

Bet it works noticeably faster. Parallel put naked FF 3.6

If you type correctly, the probability that something will break is near zero.

As far as I know, 4.0 differs from 3.6 not in the rendering engine, but in the JS engine. So you can move on with confidence.

Firefox compares favorably with other browsers in that the likelihood of a page breaking when a new version of Firefox is released tends to zero. But if you want, you can install the portable version of Fx 3.6 .
