Should a developer learn kotlin frontend?
I have extensive experience in front-end development. Recently I briefly got acquainted with the Kotlin documentation and was surprised why typescript took all the glory (it is clear that it is simpler, the ecosystem, etc.).
At least at first glance, Kotlin is a much more thoughtful and powerful language.
Also, as I understand it, there is a very real opportunity to write a front on it.
From this question, does it make sense to somehow look towards Kotlin for a js developer, or, after all, it will always remain a tool for javaists to sometimes dig deeper in the front.
I would like to learn, I understand that knowledge is never superfluous, but you can always find more priority things)

I'm not a front-end developer, but I'll answer.
I think context is important here, what to study for.
For general development - study! But then it makes sense to study a little android, and try to write code, part of which will be rummaged around on the back, front and android (ideally also iOS).
For simply replacing TS - IMHO, it's not worth it. There is no motivation and profit to switch to Kotlin only in the frontend. As far as I know, there is a non-zero overhead, which only the convenience of the language, it seems, does not overlap.
Now everyone is switching to Kotlin in android, because there are quite a few overheads on the JVM, and the profit compared to Java is very large (after Kotlin, I really don’t want to go back). In addition, Google has made Kotlin the official language. This is not enough for us and we are now making some features cross-platform, common code with iOS. So far, it is quite painful, we collect a lot of rakes, everything is rather damp there.
