Should a backend developer know how the Internet works?

Is it worth the time? That is, to study from roughly speaking cables to the application level. Or is it worth reaching the Transport level and not going below?

If yes, what exactly to study? All osi and tcp/ip levels?

If you don’t need to know all this and there is nothing to do after transport, then in what areas of programming do you need such knowledge? Or is it already the lot of system administrators?

The developer and any IT developer needs to know the osi model in general. And in particular, in my opinion, the backend developer needs to study from the transport to the butt

Knowing how the Internet works is worth it to anyone in general. Approximately like trigonometry and Blok's poetry.

What are you going to find out there? CCM? Vortex em fields? Open wikipedia and read everything you need to know about tcp/ip in 5 minutes.
