Shieldt and android. What can be missed?
Mastering Schildt - a Beginner's Guide. And so, Swing, apparently - hardly will be required. What else can be omitted in order to get directly into Android Dev as soon as possible?

Not much is needed from the standard library. So you can just learn Java syntax and start Android. As necessary, you will look at the documentation for the standard library.
See what's included in Java SE, choose what you don't need and skip. I would have mastered the syntax itself and the basic constructions, in fact, the rest will not be needed in the future. But as for me, directories are the most interesting thing in Java.
