Seven does not want to turn off
Faced such a problem. The laptop on the seven does not go into sleep and hibernation. When you close the lid or press the power button (on which sleep and hibernation are just set according to the scenario), the laptop works for another good 10-15 minutes and is cut down (as if I turned it off urgently). When you turn it on again, it boots up, as after a failure.
I checked the power plan, tried to turn off mice / modems and other external devices, there is enough space on the hard drive (10 GB).
The Internet cannot provide an answer. What is this?
PS On Ubuntu, for example, everything works perfectly. Specially set to check.

And through Start -> Shutdown tried to take you to sleep / hibernation, does it work? If so, double-check all the settings, in my opinion, somewhere I saw separate settings for power and separately for actions when the power button is pressed / the lid is closed (that is, there are settings in different places that may conflict).

Ha, a familiar situation, I really didn’t find a solution, but the problem was exactly like yours, with one moment - the laptop did not turn off / fell asleep when skype was launched . It was kind of mystical. On the Internet, I also did not find anything about this, and my friends also could not tell. I hope someone will help you, it’s very interesting where to dig in this case ...
