Setting up Sublime Text 3?

As a novice coder, I sit and try to set up the ST3 editor for work. Everything went smoothly until the moment when it became necessary to change the configs; the field for entering the code is simply inactive. As one person advised here, at some points I entered the code not in Default, but in User of the settings tab, but this did not solve all the problems. Moreover, I do not think that this is the correct solution to the problem, rather crutches. Specifically, at the moment I cannot enter the GitHub Gist token into these same Default plugin settings. Tell me, maybe there is an item in the editor where you can change permissions to edit the main settings files, or something like that. Thank you in advance

Default is the default settings, you shouldn't change them as they will be replaced when the plugin is updated, sometimes they are readonly.
You must set all settings in User configs.
