Setting up repeaters?

There is a router F @ ST 2804, V7 configured via PPPoE, default settings, there are
two AP DAP-1360 in repeater mode. The first connects to the router (in fact, it transmits the signal further), the second connects to the first (also as a repeater)
, it turns out that the router issues ip to all from its subnet, and to both APs and other clients.
The essence of the problem is that the second AP sometimes does not receive ip, but after rebooting both the modem and both APs everything is fine.
Does it make sense to assign statistical ip (192.168.2, 192.168.1.3) to both APs?
Modem problem? Drops off DHCP?

Why do you need to worry about the IP of the repeater when the network is working? Well, there is no address at the point, well, let it not.
If there are reasons why you are worried, it is reasonable to do static.
The repeater transmits traffic (packets, frames) further, it cannot work above the physical environment, which means it cannot affect protocols at a higher level, i.e. cannot selectively break DHCP without breaking anything else. Most likely, the problem is in timeouts on the DHCP server (and not only the point will notice the problem) or a connection problem (and this can be seen not only in DHCP), or the problem is in the DHCP client at the point (score and forgive).
