Tell me, please, I'm trying to set up ldap authorization in MySQL?
It is necessary to configure so that the password is not transmitted in clear text. I work in firm, around Percona mysql 5.7 version and above. I would be very grateful for the information provided, because the task has been set so far I have no idea how to complete it. Thanks in advance. I will be glad to contact the admins for whom authorization works. Colleagues on postgresql are implemented using the linux openldap library, I don’t understand how to make friends with mysql.

This will solve your problem.

Yes, before that you need to configure the plugin and install authentication_ldap_sasl.so. And here sadness is not installed for percona at least 5.7, at least 8.
