Setting up ipv4 on windows server 2008r2?

Please help, I use a virtual stand (one client computer on win7 and one server computer on win 2008r2), united them into one subnet, configured the client computer on win 7 (set it to ip 192.168. 0.1) Now a question! Whether it is necessary to specify the main gateway of its ip address in the network interface of the server? and what dns to prescribe? for some reason, 127.0.0.1 was automatically substituted for me, although I already set the dns server here is a screen of the server interface, what dns should I specify on client wasps? 192.168.0.1 or 127.0.0.1 DHCP is not planned yet!61129599482db234314810.jpeg

@rakhinskiy

On clients 192.168.0.1
On server 127.0.0.1
On the server, the DNS role or possibly a full-fledged Active Directory is raised, so it must look at itself.
But in order for the Internet to work on the client, you probably need NAT on the server and the DNS roles must be forwarders are configured
I would advise not to make the server a gateway yet (Leave only DNS / AD)
