Do you want to make a git server or create a regular repository on a VPS?
If your repository, look towards Gitlab if the requirements allow. If you need something small then - Gogs
If the task is to make a client, then as a rule when creating a repository on bitbucket and githab - you are given instructions, usually from 3 - 5 commands that you need to enter in sequence, a guide is not needed for this.
