Selecting "compatible" with ZyXEL Keenetic USB hub
Hello!
Perhaps happy owners of the ZyXEL Keenetic router live on Habré.
Recently bought this device, everything works as it should.
Except for one thing: the description states that you can connect a printer, a hard drive and a 3G modem to the router via USB using a USB hub with its own power supply (and it is written that it is better to organize this through a hub). However, the 7-port AirTone (with power supply) bought in the nearest store did not
work
properly with the router . Alas, if you connect a 3G modem to the router through this hub, the Internet does not “turn on”, although the device (modem) itself is recognized, but the web configurator has a constant “connects” (again, without a usb hub, directly 3G modem works great).
In short, if anyone can use 3G together with ZyXEL Keenetic together with any USB hub , please write which hub works for you.
Thank you.

Thanks for the answer :)
I went through the registration procedure on the ZyXEL website to contact technical support, but before the registration confirmation letter reached the mail, I already solved the problem))
First, I tested the modem through the hub directly to the computer (that is, without a router) - it works, means both the hub and the modem are working, and "compatible").
Then again the modem + hub + router does not work :(
Just to check, I decided to use the program for switching modes of the 3g modem, which is on the ZyXEL website. I connected the modem to the computer, switched its mode. Then again: hub + modem + router and - cheers - it worked)))
Although I have not seen anywhere that this program is designed specifically for connecting a modem through a hub. It is simply said that it is better to change the modem mode using this program to work well with Keenetic routers. But my modem just worked well with the router, if directly, without a hub. And only with the hub that's the case)))
I didn’t test the modem, but the flash drive together with Arduino worked for me with such a simple hub www.dealextreme.com/p/mini-rectangle-shape-usb-2-0-hi-speed-4-port-hub-480mbps-45773
if the router sees the modem, but does not connect, the problem may not be in the hub, you should look at the logs (you can post them here). Another very good option is to contact the support service, they will also ask you to upload the work logs.
curiosity won over laziness, I decided to test it - I connected a flash drive and a Cricket A600 modem through this hub - everything connected and works, there is an Internet.
