SCSS file not outputting to CSS file?

I downloaded the program for converting SCSS files to CSS "Prepros". I specified the output path, added a folder to Sublime, and when writing code in SCSS, no translation to CSS is made. The prequery is triggered when entering code in HTML only. Moreover, when saving (CTRL + S) the code in SCSS in Sublime, a console appears with contents that are incomprehensible to me. What could be the problem?
