Screen won't turn on after closing laptop lid?

Ubuntu is installed on a Lenovo laptop, when the lid is closed, the operating system goes into standby mode, and when it is opened, it either does not exit it, or the screen simply does not turn on. In parallel, there is Windows and everything is fine there, what could be the problem? Reinstalling doesn't help.

When you close the lid, Windows lulls and wakes up your laptop, and Ubuntu just shuts it down.
Don't compare Windows and Ubuntu. You will have to pick Ubuntu, solving some idiotic problems that are not on the same Windows. Just take it as it is. Ubuntu may not be as beautiful, responsive, and so on, but it is affordable. Plus, you did not just start it, you liked something about it (of course, if this is not the option where "the boys advised").
I walked a little for you and found a lot of crowing about an incurable bug, and also about the fact that this can happen on proprietary drivers for a video card, try an open driver.

First you need to understand what mode it goes into when the lid is closed. This can be seen in the settings, and only then how to "react".

That's why I still can't switch to Linux.
Every fucking time, every new install, new hilarious bugs/glitches pop up.
And they seem so small, but in total they just take out the brain.
A fix takes hours of googling, and sometimes no fix at all.

I had the same garbage on Linux Mint. I didn’t win, but I tried that I just didn’t try. After changing the laptop, it became normal, and the system was transferred by transferring the disk.
The only suitable solution, which I did on an old laptop, is to use hibernate instead of suspend. Yes, it takes longer to rise, but the windows are fully restored and you do not have to overload the laptop.
