SciNotes instead of Scipad in Scilab 5.5.2?

I read textbooks on the package of applied mathematical programs Scilab. The textbook says that the text of the program is typed in the Scipad editor window . I did not find the Scipad editor in version 5.5.2 . There is a SciNotes editor . Therefore, the question in version 5.5.2 of SciNotes is the new editor that replaced the Scipad editor ?

No, Scipad is a standalone project . The editor has its own perks and is tightly integrated with Scilab.
It is better to install from the office. site, because in ATOM the version is not updated.
