Schildt Java - The Complete Guide or The Beginner's Guide?
I'm going to buy a book as a Java tutorial. I decided to take Schildt, who is still closer to the reference book, but I can’t understand what the difference is between his two books and which one is better to buy. A quick look at the table of contents showed that the topics seem to be similar.

I don't recommend Schildt's Beginner's Guide. Too much water. I liked Khabibullin's "Java 7" more, although the essence is about the same. Choosing between the two indicated, I would stop at the "Complete Guide".
I would advise Horstmann, he has the most complete and in-depth information
