Schematic practice. For beginners?
I'll start quite remotely - it's impossible to learn a programming language without writing a single program in it. In general, I teach everything by the method of doing something big. So to plunge at once and with a head.
Now I'm starting to learn (or retrain) electronics and circuitry. I read "The Art of Circuitry", I drive something in emulators, but there is no real practice. I saw the resistor live only in my third year, so I was lucky with physics and electronics labs in the form of work in a workbench.
Actually enough snotty preludes. Advise what to read, watch, where to start the practice. By practice, I mean everything, even how elementary basics seem to many - well, I haven’t seen anywhere how to solder, which soldering iron is better to take, what to solder on, etc.

In general. There is a good way. Find a dead computer PSU and try to make it work again. Most likely, for this you will have to change electrolytes and, maybe, transistors with diodes. There is nothing else to burn. Just be careful, 220 volts is still at the input.
P.S. I am also re-reading the art of circuitry in honor of the purchase, finally, of the paper version. Gorgeous book, nonetheless.
Read easyelectronics.ru - DIHALT 's wonderful resource , everything is there - from the basics (how to solder, what, etc.) to something much more serious.
Solder what you need / are interested. At school, I still soldered a multivibrator on two transistors so that there was a “flasher”.
And then I soldered guitar gadgets and tube amplifiers. Now, too, it happens, but there is not enough time.
And there is also such a magazine - "Radio" :)
Interesting schemes periodically appear in it. You can choose something for the soul. Moreover, now there are no such problems with the element base as under the Soviet regime. Then the people mastered such skills as replacing the details of the circuit with close analogues and tuning what happened.

Here you can choose any useful circuit you like and assemble it. This is if your hands itch) and it is very convenient to study on simulators, from time to time repeating some schemes on real hardware. For example, study several basic elements, combine them in one device and solder.
To assemble some kind of layouts, you can buy breadboard (s) boards, solder (thin wire 1-2 mm), alcohol rosin (LTI-120), some kind of Chinese soldering station like Lucky (you can use a hairdryer), a coil of mgtf wire, thin tweezers, small nippers. Resistors / capacitors are sold in sets of almost all denominations, it is better to immediately take them in smd version. Of the instruments, a multimeter is a must, an oscilloscope is desirable. And then come up with what you want to collect and, accordingly, buy the rest of the details. You can try to unsolder a microcontroller thread on a breadboard, connect it with a serial port to a PC, hang LEDs on your feet and try to control it all. Then complicate the scheme and further understand.
