Schema.org for the directory of establishments - how to do it?

Good afternoon. We make a catalog of establishments. The catalog looks like:
Catalog title
institution 1(short description, contacts, link to detailed description)
...
institution n(short description, contacts, link to detailed description)
Catalog description
Is it worth using markup for each element here, or is it better to just on the personal page of each institution?
And how to mark up the directory itself? We are leaning towards ItemList ( ruschema.org/ItemList ), but we would like to hear your opinion too!
