Saving a snapshot of a linux system

Tell me if you know of solutions for creating a complete snapshot of a working system with the ability to restore on the fly. For the testing process, it is necessary to provide conditions for the full reproduction of the results. As a possible solution, using hibernate with replacing swap partitions and rebooting, but this is long. Hypervisors and VMs are not considered due to their impact on results.

Well, everything is simple with hibernate - the same TuxIce.
Not such a problem if it weren’t for the snapshot also of the RAM

hibernate won't work. During hibernate, partitions are not unmounted and therefore they cannot be read / written until the work is completed normally.

But did not try to lay a certain percentage of the influence of the hypervisor, determined empirically?
