SAN server DL360 G8 with Oracle 7 goes into reboot due to veeam, why?
Hello. Faced such a situation.
Made a SAN
DL380p Gen8 P420i/1GB FBWC server
1 native network with 2 SFP+
2 LR-Link LREC9802BF-2SFP+ networks
Disk system:
3pcs: Samsung PM1643 SSD
9pcs: WD HC320 8TB
VM configuration 2 esxi hosts with vcentr.
The system was delivered by Oracle 7, for ISCSi I use targetcli Everything works fine and without failures.
And then I started setting up backups. Do I backup Veeam? and it is connected through vcentr, not to each host separately.
It turns out Veeam does not have direct access to the SAN server.
At the beginning of any backup of a VM that is located on the DATASTOR (which is on the SAN), the SAN server is rebooted.
And I can't do anything.
Screenshot from Ilo immediately after the start of the backup task.
Next comes the reboot.
The scheme of connecting SAN to esxi hosts. Sketched now:
Bottom SAN 6pcs SFP +
