Nothing strange, 80% of companies in Russia work this way, on one CMS and for our clients.
I can't give you an answer for the OP. But I do not advise you to contact Bitrix.

What's the difference on what to code and under what, you can figure it out + into karma and qualifications for you, you can't - and you won't be able to figure it out in another.
Bitrix swamp? what is not a swamp? wp? open cart? funny, Bitrix can cover 70% of what the client needs out of the box, without any left plugins and solutions.

I marvel at web studios. Can't you be more flexible? I myself work, but the choice of development tool always depends on the specifics of the project. It can be different CMS and frameworks. And web studios have a staff of people, but they all work on the same CMS. Ktj on Bitrix, who on wordpress. The question arises:

If you're worried, then don't go there at all. Suddenly it turns out that you have broken yourself, they took you, and as a result, this work is not a thrill for you, they spent time on you .... No one will be in the pluses.
The salary level will most likely be set at the interview. You may have a lot of knowledge ... or maybe not enough even for programming for Bitrix.
If it is convenient for you to work on Bitrix - work.
If you enjoy building bikes every time, do it.
