Russian IP blocking by Ukrainian provider. Global situation or small-town tyranny?
I'm not sure if the problem is global, so I won't litter the gyktimes.
I work in a worldwide office. One of our Ukrainian developers noticed today that not a single Russian IP from his provider (Fregat, Dnepropetrovsk) is pinged.
The traces stop at the internal ip: 10.0.11.29. Judging by the open ports on this IP, this is a router. It seems that the provider simply does not route traffic to Russian IPs.
Actually, the question is whether this is a global situation, has anyone in Ukraine encountered something similar? Or is it the tyranny of a local provider? It is clear that those blocked here will not unsubscribe, but maybe those who have access here will ask their Ukrainian friends? Naturally, information about blocked ones is of interest, if everything works for you, then you do not need to unsubscribe. You can test, for example, by ip 212.24.44.141 .
