Roulette animation in javafx?

I took the first freelance order, the task is this: to make an engine and animation for a desktop roulette application with a database.
I can't figure out how to implement a scrolling animation so that the roulette wheel smoothly stops on the desired item.
Maybe there is some library for this? I am working with javafx for the first time.
