Roskomnadzor requires to remove the main page of the site, what to do?
Recently, Roskom sent a notification that there was prohibited information on one page and demanded that the information be removed or the page deleted. The thing is that this is the main page of the site, that is, www.***.ru, in addition to it, there are 1000 more pages, all of which participate in the search for certain queries. Visitors come only from search engines, there are no ads on the site. It was the main page that was visited by 5% of the total flow of visitors (by metric), for the most part these are repeat visitors.
The main page does not play a special role, there is only general information, I decided to close it like this: remove all the information from the page, leave the title - background - logo, and write "error 404" in the middle. Remove all links, menus, etc. For Roscom to see that the page is not active.
Question: Will this affect search engine promotion in general? Does the robot need this particular page for general website promotion? what options would you suggest?

1. And this is definitely Roskomnadzor, and not jokers or competitors?
2. There should be a reference to an official decision (court preferably), which you can read and understand and what exactly is wrong with you.
3. Roskomnadzor never asks to remove the page. And requires to remove specific information on the page. It can be just a single sentence or even a word or a picture - and you immediately panic.
4. We have no prohibitions on links. Just for the information itself. If this information is located (and displayed) outside of your domain / site - this is not for you at all.
Judging by the wording, these are either intruders / jokers, or you state it so unclearly.
Read the claim carefully.
It should contain a reference to a specific solution with a reason - and what exactly you don’t like.
If the removed information is related to promoted keys, it will affect.
I would _replace_ the disputed information with an alternative and gladly notify the RKN of the timely execution of their request. The question is whether they will dig further.
There is an assumption that you sell alcohol, for example, or do something like that. In this case, the entire site is blocked, not just the main page. Throw the domain, it's a useless undertaking.
