Revoke permissions?

My somewhat paranoid nature often doubts the adequate need for extended privileges for some applications.
Why, for example, does a reader need access to my contacts? Or why do games need access to GPS?
On CyanogenMod7 there was a section in the settings where it was possible to take away unnecessary rights from the application from the user's point of view. On CM9, this feature was cut out.
Bought Permissions Denied - not satisfied. Blocks the rights through time, it is inconvenient.
Firewalls don't solve the problem.
