Reviews about getJavaJob.ru?

I want to enroll in this course. It was embarrassing that there were few reviews and a full prepayment was required before starting the training. Has anyone actually taken this course? This is not a scam?

I can tell you about these courses as I recently passed through them. Although I took these courses and got a job after them, my review will be negative, because. Looking back now, I realize that my path and employment could have been much shorter.
These courses are for experienced programmers only , don't take them if you have little or no experience. No need to focus on stories about "I completed 3 levels of Javarush, and then enrolled in these courses and completed them" - if you dig a little deeper, then either these people already knew some kind of PL and just wanted to switch to Java, or they did not work and could devote 24/7 to learning, or they were mathematical geniuses with honors from MatMech.
Most of the rest of the people, after reading such stories, as a rule, fall off these courses with low self-esteem and a persistent aversion to Java for the next N years.
How to enter them and what awaits you.
Entry is simple - leave an application, the course curator Vitaliy contacts you, asks a couple of questions on the very basics and sends a link to a document with a description of the course and the number of his card for transfers.
The cost of the course
is 10,000 rubles per month, but not less than 120,000 rubles. The bottom line is that if you finish earlier than 12 months, then you will have to pay the difference on the first salary (spoiler: do not finish earlier, so consider the cost as just 10k / month).
Deadlines
Planned completion dates (quotes hereinafter are taken from the document that will be sent to you after payment):

The first part takes 3.5 months, the second part takes 4.5 months with an estimated load of 2 hours per day on weekdays and 4 hours per day on weekends.

Those. 8 months at the indicated load. In practice, just to complete the course, you need to spend many times more time. With me in less than a year, no one passed the course. The average time is 1.5 or even 2 years. And the cost of the course in this case is already 240,000 rubles.
About the course itself
Training there is structured as follows: there are 3 levels, Basics, Algo, Web.
What is the Basics level - you are given a link to Schildt's reference book in English and a list of several dozen tasks from Zlatopolsky's computer science problem book (according to which many solved problems in Basic at school).
The Algo level is about the same, but there are still webinars from 2016 and dz.
Your decision will be checked only after you have done everything completely and not before (it
took me almost 8 months for the first 2 levels). Before that, all communication with the coach is a timely transfer to the card.
All. Questions to the coach are not welcome - everything is served with sauce, that there is a general chat in the Telega with classmates and there you need to ask a question like that, and everyone learns. Personally, this chat did not work out for me - most of my questions when I was at an impasse were simply ignored (not only for me). You can not expect help from the coach at this stage either.
I believe that at this stage there is the biggest problem of these courses - there are no preparation materials, no help from an experienced mentor, nothing. Now that I already have programming experience and have gone through many different trainings (not just Java, on the way to employment you will need to learn a lot of related things, from algorithms to Linux administration), I understand that the surest way to kill the desire to learn is it is without any explanation to give a dry technical reference book as the only source of information and a long incomprehensible task without clear deadlines, plans, etc. All this leads to total procrastination, thoughts that all this is not for you, etc. Most people leave these courses in the first two parts - they have no understanding at all of what you are doing, why and how it will help in finding a job.
As a result, several months of total procrastination and self-flagellation and the first 2 parts were somehow handed over.
The real benefit of the course is only in 3 parts, where things are already learned that are necessary for real work.
But I am writing this review for those who have little experience in programming and you most likely will not reach it.
In the public domain there are tables with the progress of other participants and you can see how many people hang on the first part and generally fall off.
But it was someone's dream - to get a job as a Java developer. And after this course, the person completely repulsed any desire to continue. I was very close to the same, but by some miracle I found the strength to continue. But I spent a lot of time on all this, of which 40 percent is procrastination, pauses, etc. Now I understand that if I had been clearly given to understand at the beginning what and why I would do, I would have saved a few months and would have settled much earlier.

I studied these courses with good knowledge. The course consists of 3 stages Syntax (you solve problems from Zlatopolsky's textbook), Algo (here is the maximum that you learn, these are data structures and generics, algorithms are not normally given), Web (here you study multithreading and write your social network).
Now, in fact, the Syntax step only makes sense for those who don't know Java. But without knowledge of Java, there is nothing to do in this course from GetJavaJob, because no one will explain anything to you . You just lose 2-4 months by solving problems for 2nd year students.
The Algo stage gives knowledge of scrap collections. You will write your own ArrayList, LinkedList, HashMap and trees, including KCHB, with your own hands. That's all there is to it, but you'll lose another 3-4 months here and all your questions will be answered by the same students as you. After this stage, you go to the exam, you rummage through the file on Google and you make changes there, you will spend 4-5 hours on passing. After that, your answers will be checked in a couple of days and be sure that Vitaly will leave you a list of comments that you will need to correct. Corrections are accepted again in 3 days, and there will be comments again. Approximately for delivery you spend from 2 weeks to a month. Those. In fact, you give 10k for passing the exam. By the way, the time of the course will be deliberately delayed so that you do not finish it faster, although according to the offer you give the rest after "employment" (more on that later). Plus, in Algo you solve puzzles with sql-ex. In this regard, I also have a vision of the stupidity of this approach. SQL is needed, but not in the form in which it is given.
So, now to the cost. The course costs 120,000 rubles, and you pay 10,000 rubles a month. For the first 2 stages, you will give more than half, or close to it, and you will gain no knowledge, for 60k you have Java Collections and generics, and at the same time, the students of the course help you, there will be no help from the mentor. Help will come if the question hangs for a couple of days, but you are sent just to google. Those. again, time stretches and everything else you are taught by the same students as you.
On the web, you will have weekly Zoom meetings on Sundays at 11 am, but only after the 13th lesson) You study Multithreading again in the same mode. Well, then the Web. you learn it from the very bottom and primitives of Java, then gradually move on to actual implementations. For example JDBC->JPA->Hibernate
And all this within the framework of one "project" (you write your own social network)
Spring, which is given to you - the most banal.
And now to the most pleasant and long-awaited part of this review. This course is stupid, there are a lot of other interesting and worthwhile implementations on the market, with a convenient interface and adequate support, where you will have weekly meetings AND and an adequate guide to tasks.
If you do not fit into the year of study, be prepared to shell out another 10,000 rubles every month, and if you don’t like it, then your access will be closed and you will go outside)
In fact, this course promises you "employment", keep in mind that you will go to the market to look for a job yourself and if you do not find it, then the same graduates of this course will send your resume to the "Bring a Friend" programs, i.e. Vitaly keeps a special group for graduates and asks to send out your resume, again, graduates help you, and not the one who holds the course. If you carefully look at the site, it is not up-to-date, the site was no longer maintained normally in the 16th year.
Well, the cherry on the cake, you learn from records and articles from the Internet, if it suits you - to give money for the course and receive information from the Internet - this course suits you.
My verdict - they will extort money from you

What is kidalovo then yours?
In fact, you are a lazy person and are too lazy to just read three books and practice yourself and are ready to pay to be kicked, taught and practiced.

I myself took this course, the course is very well done, a lot of practice, indeed, in half a year you get the profession of a Java developer, the price tag is not small, but it is justified

Javarush. Is it worth studying there, or is it better to read books?

@getjavajob

I will correct that getjavajob.com
at the moment Algo costs 10tr, Web - 70tr. successful Algo graduates can pay for Web training from their salary after employment, which is the main purpose of the training.
the site contains reviews only of graduates of the Web course, in the topics of the VK group , reviews of the Algo course are also posted. to make a decision should be enough
if you have questions, ask them in our VK group

I know a person who, after completing these courses, got a job as a programmer for a good salary for a junior.
It is hard to study there, in order to complete the graduation project, he had to quit his main job at that time.

It is worth going to these courses already with a good knowledge of Java, since the teacher will not explain anything. Problem solving only. He checks the change after a few days. Never directly answers questions. Answer options: everything is written in the task, go read such and such a book, etc. Maximum, you can consult with the same students. If you didn’t manage to pass on time, then “goodbye” or pay again o.O And no one cares that you didn’t pass, because you didn’t understand something, and the teacher doesn’t explain anything. By the way, not only the very fact of the decision is checked - the code must be formatted in accordance with the convention code. Due to its non-compliance, basically, the work is not accepted. The only plus is a lot of practice, but the attitude of the teacher neutralizes this positive moment. Overrated courses, IMHO.
