Restore closed chrome bookmarks?

Google helped, but not all.
After the procedure: delete Bookmarks, and go to Google - the bookmark is visible for half a second, and immediately disappears.

Bookmarks or tabs? If bookmarks, then in what sense are they closed? If tabs, then Ctrl+Shift+T.
