Resources for learning ruby?

Hello!
Need materials to learn the ruby language, no rails yet. Are there any adequate books / videos / courses in Russian? (There are still problems with English)
In general, I will be happy to read reviews from rubists, how they went from a beginner, etc.

I don’t know the context, but in 2018 this question sounds no less strange than asking for a book recommendation on FORTRAN or COBOL. Ruby remained exclusively in legacy projects, no one will start new ones on it (being of sound mind and sober memory).
Python, JavaScript, Go - this is the main stack of modern web development (I am writing about web development, because rails are mentioned in the question, and because web development is the most massive segment today).
Learning a language is an investment of time in order to generate income in the future (1 year - jun, 3 years - middle, 6 years - senior, if you do not kick the bullshit). Ruby is a very dubious investment.

If you are confident in yourself and English is not scary, then it’s better for self-study than Michael Hartl hasn’t been invented yet : https://www.railstutorial.org/
NPDV goodprogrammer.ru
in the same place on the links on the YouTube channel there are many interviews with rubists about their path "from a beginner".
It makes sense to study just hack “without rails yet” only if it’s just for the outlook and general development (you don’t plan to deal with the web and rails), otherwise there’s no point in eating a side dish first, and then a cutlet.
