In the google docs interface (in ff and google chrome) on the document navigation screen, if you increase the left panel by moving the handler (the blue block between the folders and documents panel) by more than half the screen, you cannot restore the previous dimensions of the panels to the default state .

Yes, there is such a glitch. The splitter collapses at a certain column width.
To restore the visibility of the splitter, you need to change the width of the columns by capturing the separator between them.
