Removing standard console applications in Mac OS X?

Good Friday.
I recently discovered that the system has php version 5.3.6 and Apache2, the date the binaries were changed = the date the OS was installed, so I assume that they were set by default. The question is how to completely cut them out of the system, and is it possible to see what other similar applications are installed?
Axis version 10.7.2

I would recommend simply not to notice the pre-installed utilities, but really install a package manager, and use it. I use the already mentioned MacPorts, very handy.
MacPorts puts it in /opt/local/bin by default, so you'll have to put that path in your $PATH before the rest of the library paths installed initially. This, however, is written in the instructions for MacPorts.

Yes, there are quite decently there - Perl, Python, a bunch of command line tools ... Why delete them?
