Recovery of ext4 files, is it possible?

Oh guys save me. Wallets (bitcoin, litecoin, dogecoin) were stored on the ext4 partition, the screw began to die, bought a new ssd, well, I confess, I don’t know how I missed it, for many years there have never been such cases before, there were 2 partitions on the old hard drive (of the same size), due to his inattention, one of them used under /var, but indicated not the one that was needed, but the other, where all documents, project archives, in general, everything that was needed for work were stored. And there were 3 wallets in the same place, at one time I mined, bought, and put it in a distant box .. with the expectation of extracting it in 10 years. I remember that I definitely made backups, rummaged through the whole house, I can’t find a disk with wallets or a flash drive. And now the partition is also formatted. Of course, I didn’t use the system after that, I connected the disk, drove it forward, but apparently he is looking for "masks" he knows files, some archives, documents were restored, but there are no wallets. Yes, it's simple PPC. The amount may not be exorbitant, but quite a decent one. Xs what to do guys, is it possible to restore or score / forget and hope that there is a disk with a backup? So, here's a lesson to others, you can laugh, it's your own fault, stupidly erased your own investments. My wife is in shock, I’m in shock, they dug everything, we can’t find the disk in any way, but we remember for sure that we recorded it on a USB flash drive and we don’t hope, because what they themselves could overwrite, what the children could find and take to play.

There is such a thing - R-Studio . It is paid, but at one time you can also download it from torrents. What she restored, I could not restore with anything else. So - I recommend to try, it should help.

PhotoRec, despite the name, restores a lot of things. I restored it myself in a similar situation (dd set it on the wrong device ...), so I dug up files deleted 5 years ago.

To begin with, I would advise you to make a full backup of the dd disk or something like that in case the experiments finish the screw.
Then already play with recovery programs. In general, it is better to immediately take it to professionals, if there is such an opportunity and the content is more valuable than paying for their services ...
