Recommend a note-taking service?

I'm looking forward to learning new technology. I'm looking for a note-taking/note-taking service with the ability to markup (or BB-codes), insert images and code snippets with syntax highlighting. Unloading in pdf or html is desirable, but not critical.
So far I thought to put wp with plugins, use github, write something in haste myself, but perhaps colleagues will advise something better options? =)

As an option, I will offer OneNote - there is both an application and a web.
Notebooks, tabs, tab groups, formatting, pictures, links, etc.
There is a PDF save.

Evernote. Great thing, there are clients for everything, including browser plugins. Of the minuses - there is no built-in code highlighting, you have to use crutches in the form of markup.su/highlighter and others.
