Recommend a DVR

Hello!
I decided to get a DVR, so I'm asking for advice. I know that there were several reviews on Habré, but times are changing, so something new may have appeared. I will buy in some Chinese online store, because there is no desire to overpay for a beautiful logo.

Of the main requirements:
1. Very high quality video (numbers of cars should be as readable as possible).
2. Maximum automation (for example, so that you can set up automatic recording if the device is plugged into the cigarette lighter).
3. It would be great if there was NOT a built-in battery.
4. Not a very small screen.
5. Price FROM 70-80 dollars (so that there is no crap).
6. No restrictions on the length of the video file + the ability to set up cyclic overwriting to a memory card with video cutting.

I will be glad to advice!

Bought their older model here . Happy as an elephant. The truth was waiting for him for almost 2 months. But everything is visible! Video samples can be found on their website. (numbers are visible).
I also put a solid-state hard drive instead of the usual one. It turned out quite beautiful.

A couple of months ago I installed a 120GB Samsung 820 Pro system. Satisfied so far :)
Free 53 GB. Everything that needs to be installed (well, maybe in the future you will still need 20 gigs). So there is enough space. There are no games.

Apparently the hard fell down. First of all, you should check the smart for errors and bad blocks.
Intel - more expensive and considered more reliable, 530 series with built-in encryption. If the laptop has an mSata connector, then it’s better, of course, to buy an SSD of this form factor - then you can install a new hard drive. You can also take something cheaper and more capacious - for example, Corsair or Plextor.

The most durable so far have been and remain in the consumer segment of Intel and Crucial (M4 / M500)

It is unlikely that he fell. Just probably 5400 rpm. I myself had a similar situation just after installing Win8, it is especially felt on torrents. You swing to the full width of the channel - the screw starts to choke. I decided by installing an SSD in the mSata connector and installing Windows on it. The old screw is purely for files. Now everything is fine.

I use this - http://www.citilink.ru/catalog/parts/hdd/ssd_in/711862/ .
It is 240 gigs, but there are smaller ones from the same series.
I've had it for almost 1 year now. Happy as an elephant.

I read that they are not disliked, but for more than a year in a laptop (samsung r730) SSD OCZ agility 3 has been living . The speed of my Linux has increased significantly, loading before entering a password is 2-3 seconds. A friend has the same one, also about a year old, he has like 120, I have 60, I even have 60 behind my eyes, a file washer on the NAS. In general, I am satisfied and after a year on smart everything is fine with him. Also, two colleagues have vertex , they seem to be a little faster, but I don’t think it’s worth overpaying because it won’t be noticeable, especially if the laptop is sata II. Bottom line: 4 friends, including me, who have ssd from ocz a year later, everyone is happy. They also update the firmware for them, I changed it a couple of times from a boot CD,

Half a year ago I installed a Samsung SSD 840 120gb and I'm very happy with it, as if I had bought a new laptop. On ebay ~$100. There is enough volume for work, but I also installed the old hdd (500gb) instead of dvd-rom. As a result, the Axis flies, the software starts up very quickly. Media and documents on a separate drive.

For all the time, about 20 ssd passed through me, I didn’t see any pluses or minuses for them (they all worked fucking fast, in one generation they died about the same quickly), they used to die faster, now slower, one advice is to take the latest models.
I had different ssds and intels and vertexes and samsungs and some other models that I don’t remember.

I would recommend the Plextor M5P. It has been in the laptop for almost a year now, the speed characteristics are excellent, I am very satisfied.

Crucial M4, lower power consumption (if it matters).
And so it doesn't matter.
By the way, the screw can be heated not by itself, but from another filling.

Oh yes, on the new SSD, do not forget to specify the discard option in fstab (for TRIM to work). Read more here tokarchuk.ru/2011/01/enable-trim-support-in-ubuntu/
