There are two ways to access the WA API.
1. Legal: WhatsApp Business API. You need to register a business (you can do it as an individual entrepreneur) in Facebook Business Manager, go through moderation, get access through one of the WhatsApp partners. Cons: expensive. Advantages: reliable, official.
2. Illegal: Imitation of the undocumented WhatsApp Web API. It is enough to keep the phone with WhatsApp turned on by taking a picture of the QR code issued by the required library or service. Disadvantages: risk of ban (not high, but I would not recommend using a Very Important Number in such games), risk that everything will break due to a change in the Web API, the need to keep the phone number included. Advantages: cheap, no need to register templates to send a message first (but if you often send first, the risk of a ban increases).
