Reading IR signals?

Almost all TVs and everything are now controlled via an IR remote control. . Question: is it possible to record the code transmitted by the remote control using the IR receiver of a computer or phone?

Can. True, I have not seen modern phones with an IR receiver ...
If you want to bother with this, I would advise you to look towards adruino - there are even special sets there.

Can! Back in the days of Win98, there was software and the receivers soldered themselves. There is nothing complicated there.
Only I did not understand why in the Android branch there is a question about receivers for PC ???
