Rate your resume

I got to all previous jobs on the basis of recommendations and I never had to send a resume to someone. Now it was necessary and I ask Habr for constructive criticism.

Resume for the position of C++ developer, although there is a lot of scientific work experience in the field of image processing. I tried to reflect that I want to do technical tasks, not scientific ones.

It seemed to me that if I first of all communicate with Russian employers, then my resume should be done in Russian. Is it logical?

I would remove the photo, I don’t understand why put it on the resume? Or maybe someone just doesn’t like your full face and he just throws away the resume?
Then: big, rich, good - magnificent epithets that say absolutely nothing about your experience. Either be more specific or be more concise. These epithets are clearly redundant.

I can boast
of an account on StackOverflow

Boast, why is it attractive? Link to the profile immediately and that's it.
basic blah blah
still know blah blah
What does that mean? You know well - write that "I know the standard by heart." Did you touch a little? so write. What are the "basic" and "still know how"?
Russian Perfectly :)

You have to be more modest, my friend. And remove the smileys, what kind of kindergarten?
And, it seems to me, if you do not want to solve scientific problems in a science-intensive field, then you should not write about your scientific achievements in your resume. Who needs it?

Knowledge and work skills are described in principle, but rather the idea of an “independent researcher” is formed.
If you are positioning not only for image processing, then a more detailed description of the completed projects will help the employer understand your experience and relate it to their needs. Those. whether you have dealt only with algorithms or have experience with GUI, Web, services, etc.
For commercial projects, it is also important for the employer to understand how much you have encountered (if you have encountered) various stages of the complete software development cycle: collection and formalization of requirements, participation in the preparation of technical specifications, formulation and planning, development in accordance with the technical requirements, etc. Those. except for the indication "Development of algorithms and software." it is desirable to describe in more detail your role (roles) in this development and the experience of interacting with other roles.
If there is something to say about the points described above, this will only be a plus.

1) In the work experience, write not what you did, but what you did / achieved, only then briefly duties
2) A lot of text. “Briefly about the main thing” - no one needs it, write it in a Cover Letter if it is appropriate for the vacancy, adding information about why you are interested in this particular vacancy.
Instead of this section, I propose to insert a simple and understandable Career Objective - in which company you are looking for a job, for what position, what it should be. Send to a startup - write that a young talented programmer is looking for a job in a startup in order to realize his skills in extreme programming (or something?) and teamwork, if you send to Gazprom - focus on a large company, projects.
3) “I still know”, “I still know how”, “I still can” is unacceptable in a resume
4) Remove scientific knowledge, you don’t work in a university at the department to earn extra money
5) Hobbies are not needed, this is superfluous. If you interest the company as a specialist, only then they will be interested in whether you will fit into the team
6) Remove the photo, it looks frivolous (do not consider it rude, your face is pleasant, but a photo on a dating site would be better suited)
7) Your projects up , under work experience
9) I'm not a programmer myself, but I suspect that it would be cool to give a link to a github, a blog in English (you own it) and certificates (if any, they need to be at the very top). Yes, there is no need to “boast” on StackOverflow, if there is something to show - write next to the link above that this is a StackOverflow profile
10) The font bothers me personally - it's hard to read from the screen. But see it for yourself)
PS Your level is not clear at all from the resume - either you are looking for any coding job after the university, or you are a serious programmer and offer skills for serious projects. It's not clear at all what you are looking for :) Please note that recruiters spend an average of 7 seconds viewing resumes.

Very little work experience is written, write in more detail, in detail. Assess the level of your knowledge in the technologies you have worked with, describe your personal qualities.
Russian in perfection? I wouldn’t call you for an interview just for this phrase, think for yourself what you can expect from a person who says that he is perfect in something - “I don’t have megalomania, great people don’t suffer from this?”
“I can boast”, hmmm ... I don’t think this is in the format of a resume, you didn’t come to a friend to drink beer.
As for photography, I will express my purely personal opinion, photography should be in order not to waste either yours or, say, mine (since I constantly interview people, I can judge this) time. A lot can be said about a person from a photograph, for example, I always try to pick up a team - a group of like-minded people, and if, say, business serious guys work for me, family ones, then it is unlikely that a tattooed punk with a guitar in a leather jacket with spikes will join such a team. No... You don't think that punk is bad or guys in jackets are good... no. It's just that the team is more efficient and it's easier for me to choose for those who are, rather than building a team for you, so the photo says a lot.
There was also a resume with a very, well, very beautiful girl of 25 years old, and the team was then exclusively male and single, well, there would be no work if we took it, because mother nature takes its toll.
In general, in short, the advice is that you don’t need to waste the employer’s time, but first of all your time, for this you need to provide the maximum amount of information about yourself, with an emphasis on technical information, your skills, your qualities as an employee, and then you won’t have to again and again disappointed that you did not fit.

>> It seemed to me that if I first of all communicate with Russian employers, then my resume should be done in Russian. Is it logical?
Not really. Although the employers are Russian, there are more outsourcing than internal projects. In outsourcing, the customer usually approves the hiring of employees, and he needs to show a resume in English. If you are good with English, as you wrote, then you need to write not English.
In general, the resume makes a good impression. Because The main purpose of the resume is to get to the interview, then this resume will cope with it. But the emphasis on scientific research determines the projects for which you will be considered. If you want to move more into something applied, put more emphasis on it.

A very good summary. The only thing is that it is better to tell in more detail about work experience and projects, if possible.

Remove Total Commander. And that reminds me of graduate programmers who send us resumes with "confident PC skills, knowledge of the Internet, MS Office."

As a recruiter, I can tell you what is sorely lacking in this resume.
Not enough exact numbers.
For example, it’s good to write skills in the table: technologies / yap - number of years of use - last year of use.
Again, in “Briefly about the main thing”, what is “great experience” and “rich past”? .. Write directly for more than 3 years, or 5, or 10.
In work experience, it would be nice to indicate not only years, but also months.
In terms of the content of the projects, you were commented very well above)
