Random number generator on the site. Which language to choose?

Tell your friends, the task is to make a one-page site with an infinite random number generator, in the range from 1-99, which would be recorded in the database. The generator should update itself, like ajax or something like that. finished numbers should appear in a column on the same page.
The question is which programming language is best suited for this.

I do not know of any other than php at the level of connecting to the database and writing a couple of lines. But I have a year to learn any language you recommend. The generator will become the basis for the future project.

javascript. A backend is not needed for such a task.
