Quickly catch up with the history of iron development?

Hello.
Once I was hellishly fond of hardware, I knew by heart all types of processors, which video card on the market is optimal at the moment, and to what frequency these memory modules are chasing.
But it was somewhere before 2005, and around the Athlon XP 2500+ my development stopped - I stopped reading on this topic every day.
Attention, the question is: what can you read on the topic of iron in order to quickly catch up with the lost six years and be aware of the current situation with iron? It is desirable that reading be a maximum of half an hour or an hour.
Thank you!

Look for similar benchmarks for desktop systems, you won’t understand, but fill the gap well.

If I were you, I wouldn't bother about the past iron, see what's in circulation now (i7 old and new sandy bridge). By accumulating knowledge about new hardware, through articles you will also learn about the old one (775 socket for example).
And so, if you are interested, write to Asya, I will tell you)
